Fernwood Sword Club was started in October 2008 with a view to providing facilities for fencers, new and old, in the Newark and Grantham areas.

The salle is at the Highfields School Balderton having outgrown its original venue at Fernwood Village Hall. The club has plans to promote fencing through Newark and Grantham and their surrounding areas.

The sport is great for improving hand / eye and foot co-ordination and the beginners course covers some of the rules and regulations of the sport. Reaction times, your mental and physical stamina will improve and it helps tone muscles and it doesn't matter how fit you are! You can participate to your own level!

The Club is affiliated to British Fencing.
